kennel mate

lots of my friends at the safe harbor have found new home so far. I am so happy for them but there are still lots of chessies who needs new family to love and care for them please make sure to visit the chesapeake safe harbor website often there is surely a special friend there waiting just for you !

Dad's currently working on a PPS featuring "ME" i am sure he will post it on the net... I'm becoming a star yesterday we took some "chessie smile" picture... I look pretty bad and agressive on them... The perfect pic for a "beware of the dogs" signs !

See see... i told you... (I could do just about anything for food... Even look this bad)

i love my family

Hi there !

I settle down very well in my new family... I'm a lucky boy ! I think i love my new people very well and they deserve the well manered dog that i am...

Ok ok i'm not perfect... I do sleep on the couch when they are away from home and they tell me to guard the house but at least i dont tear up the trash or chew on the sofa or baby girl toys... I learn to get off the couch as soon as i hear the car in the alley buy mom's always know that i've been lying on the sofa... You know how mom's are... They know everything !

i also have a fear to be alone... If my human leave me in the yard for too long i feel alone and then i bark at the door... I love being at the front door i have a leash outside and i can lay down in the sun... I can stay there for long periods sleeping and enjoying people passing by (some people i like less get a good idea of how bad i can be... I have a loud voice hehehe)

On the not so perfect side i also have this bad habit to take items in my mouth and carry them everywhere in the house... my favourite are: My blanket (and its not easy to carry it in the stair) baby girl plush toys (and she do just like me i am such an inspiration) i also love to take my leash and daddy's leather belt... As i leave on comand and not chewing anything my people are not too concern about this... Mom is trying to teach me to "pick-up" things since it look natural for me to do it...

ITS MY B-DAY

LOOK, i've got a B-day hat and baby girl too (picture to come later of both of us...) !

Today i turned two and i did celebrate with my family ! I've got the opportunity to sleep on the couch while dad was out, eat big rawhide bones buy by mommy and eat a couple of nice things that were in the trash !

It was a great day ! According to this website: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/age.htm, i've just turned 24 in human years... I am now suposed to be fully mature (Yeah... Right...)

My new mom is just crazy about pictures so i do the model and pose for her...

here you can see me running in the wild (and there was also a swamp my mom haven't seen !)

Jane told my mom i was overweight and i got to get exercise and boy she exercise me...

After the long walk and the play fetch game in the swamp she bring me to what she call's Chessies paradise !

Beautiful place about 5 minute from home ! I like this place very much, there i can swim and run free ! I also play fetch the ball in the water, mom and dad want to teach me to give the ball but that's another story...

Back home i was able to have some rest... I found a very interesting place to sleep in my personal backyard... Mom say that i am not allowed in... but the kids said to come... Mom gave up and says she would change the water more often (good it will stay cold and fresh) Anyway the human and the kids can swim in the big pool ! There i cant go by any mean...

Another interesting point... i am not allowed to have human food This is not good for me but i found a very special friends in the baby girl... We are now partner in crime... She share her toast with me and i share the pool ? Is this a good deal ?

I found a new forever home !

I was on the really good care of Jane and Ron at the Chesapeake safe harbor. Then on a foggy day there was this family coming from far far away. They had a walk with a couple of my kennel mate and then the lady pick me up for a ride !

I wanted to be a good boy, i was so excited to meet new people but i manage to give a good first impression. i was gentle on the lead i sat on command and i let the lady give me a good belly rub ! There was a sweet little girl that gave me big hugs and called me DOU-DOU.

Then they went away ! Would they come back for me ? YES YES YES they did I knew there was something going on ! I went in the trunk of their truck and we had a bid car ride i slept almost all the time and then i arrive at my new home...
